Cafe Chef
Work in our onsite cafes and dining hall preparing meals & attending to general kitchen duties.
Mō te tūka | The role
Provide assistance in the kitchen or cafes covering duties such as working with the head chef to develop menus for cafes, preparing high quality meals for the customers, general kitchen cleaning and any support duties as directed by the kitchen management.
Some tasks of the role include:
- Food preparation - providing consistent high quality food.
- Stores management - stock is managed safely and appropriately.
- Hygiene & food safety - the kitchen & its product is kept safe in accordance with our Food Safety programme.
This is a permanent role working 40 hours per week based at our Lincoln Campus. Remuneration is negotiable depending on experience.
Kā tino Pūkeka/Whēako | Essential skills/experience for the role
To be successful in this role you will need:
- Minimum of 12 months experience in the hospitality industry
- The ability to prioritise workload and motivation to complete tasks on time to a high standard
- The ability to communicate clearly with staff and customers
