Te āheinga: The opportunity

This is a full-time permanent salaried position, working 37.5 hours per week. 

We're seeking a lecturer with passion and experience for teaching Business Analytics and related subjects at our Mt Albert campus. This role involves teaching various Business Analytics courses, including Data Analytics and Analytics Storytelling, plus a variety of other courses as required. The lecturer will teach both undergraduate and postgraduate programmes and will be required to supervise postgraduate students in their capstone Industry Projects.

Applicants should have at least a Master's degree in a relevant field and teaching experience at tertiary level. Relevant industry experience would be an advantage. A student-centred approach and commitment to the success of our students is essential.

You'll have

  • An understanding or desire to learn Te Reo Māori, Tikanga Māori, and the values and practices of Kaupapa Māori
  • Evidence of active engagement in building diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplaces/environments
  • Lateral thinker with a constructive can-do attitude to solving problems, strong communication, and interpersonal skills with an approachable, supportive personality.
  • Holistic approach to teaching which includes mentoring and pastoral care and experience teaching in a multicultural environment and working with a diverse group of students.
  • Minimum of a Masters' degree in a relevant area
  • Demonstrable practical ability to lecture in the vocational education context
