Position Overview

Toi Rauwhārangi College of Creative Arts at Massey University is a world-class creative college with a legacy of over a century of creative education comprising of internationally recognised programmes in design, fine art, Māori visual art, commercial music, and screen arts.

We are seeking an Academic Administrator for Toi Rauwhārangi to provide comprehensive, high-quality academic administration for the effective delivery, maintenance, and governance of the College’s academic portfolio, in particular the suite of Māori Visual Arts qualifications at Toioho Ki Āpiti on our Manawatū campus.

This work will enable effective engagement with internal and external stakeholders (staff, students, community, and creative industry), strategic priorities, and programmes of work relevant to the qualifications you support.

What we are looking for

  • Familiarity with Te Reo Māori, Te Ao Māori Tikanga, and experience working in a kaupapa Māori context.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification is desirable.
  • Demonstrated relevant work experience in academic administration.
  • Experience of working in a Tertiary Education Institute is desirable.
  • Familiarity with University systems and processes (preferred)
  • Ability to work as part of a team to achieve necessary outcomes.
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development
