We are looking for a motivated individual to strengthen our publishing house, TU Delft OPEN. TU Delft OPEN is a university publisher for peer-reviewed publications (books, journals and textbooks), offering a community-driven, open access alternative within disciplines relevant to TU Delft.
The role of the Publishing Operations Officer is a wide-ranging position in a unique academic environment. You will work with an enthusiastic community of Delft academics and professional support staff at the Library who are challenging the traditional publishing system and improving research culture, specifically the manner in which researchers disseminate their scientific work.
Your main tasks will be:
- Working with the team on the publication process for TU Delft OPEN, from initial idea to actual publication
- Improving workflows of TU Delft OPEN operations and the overall quality, productivity, and efficiency of the service.
- Ensuring the TU Delft OPEN’s infrastructure functions well and according to need
- Coordinating webpages and other information pages for TU Delft OPEN
- Liaising with third-party partners such as proof-readers, designers
- Analysing the distribution of time and finances on each aspect of the publishing operation, and provide recommendations for change
- Creating reports and other qualitative and quantitative metrics
- Help the team in acquiring high-standard publication of research output
