Job Summary:

The SAP+D at UM6P seeks to appoint an Assistant Professor in Digitalization, Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR), and Artificial Intelligence (AI) applied to architecture and the built environment. This position is aimed at individuals passionate about the intersection of technology and architecture, focusing on innovative approaches to design, planning, and construction. The successful candidate will lead research initiatives, teach, and engage in service that advances the integration of digital technologies in architecture and urban design.

Key Responsibilities:

Teaching and Curriculum Development:

Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses of AR, VR, and AI technologies related to architecture and the built environment.

Supervise student projects, theses, and dissertations that focus on AR, VR, and AI technologies related to architecture and the built environment.

Contribute to curriculum development and enhancement, ensuring the integration of cutting-edge research and practices in AR, VR, and AI technologies related to architecture and the built environment.

Contribute to the development of innovative teaching methods and research approaches that advance the field of AR, VR, and AI technologies related to architecture and the built environment.

Research:

Conduct cutting-edge research in AR, VR, and AI applied to architecture and the built environment.

Secure funding through grants and research proposals.

Publish findings in high-impact journals and conferences.

Supervise postgraduate research projects and contribute to the research community.

Administrative Duties:

Participate in the administration of academic programs related to AR, VR, and AI applied to architecture and the built environment.

Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and accreditation processes.

Contribute to the development of proposals for new academic offerings in the area AR, VR, and AI applied to architecture and the built environment.

Qualifications:

PhD in Computer Science or Information Technology, with a focus on Digitalization, VR, AR, AI applied to architecture and the built environment or related areas.

A proven track record of research and publication in high-impact journals and conferences.

Experience in teaching and supervising students at the university level.

Strong record of securing research funding from various sources.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage a diverse range of students and collaborators.

A commitment to interdisciplinary research and education.
