The LCSB recruits talented scientists from various disciplines: computer scientists, mathematicians, biologists, chemists, engineers, physicists and clinicians from more than 50 countries currently work at the LCSB. We excel because we are truly interdisciplinary and together we contribute to science and society.

To sustain its continuous development, the University of Luxembourg has a new job opening within its Interdisciplinary Centre the Luxembourg Centre for Systems Biomedicine (LCSB). We are looking for a Technology Transfer Officer.

Mission

As part of the LCSB Operations, the Innovation and Partnering team is dedicated to support and enhance innovative research and development at LCSB and to make the resulting technologies available for external national and international collaboration or valorization in order to increase the socio-economic impact of LCSB’s research and to acquire additional funding sources for innovative research projects.

Your key role will be to identify LCSB research and intellectual property (IP) with specific potential for commercialization and partnering and further advising on and driving the liaison with industrial and/or public partners. You will identify potential research partners and IP licensees and drive the process of partnering LCSB researchers with the respective external parties. Your role further includes working with and at the Luxembourg Bioincubator, which was recently launched as a joint initiative between LCSB and LIH, and support its manager in the operations and strategic positioning of the Bioincubator. Through these activities, you will support and further develop LCSB innovation and UL valorization processes.

You will work within the LCSB Innovation and Partnering team and report to the team leader whilst collaborating with the Bioincubator manager and liaising with the central Technology Transfer Office at the University of Luxembourg (PaKTTO).
