Post-doctoral position in next-generation materials designer

ICFO is offering a postdoctoral position to a well-qualified, highly motivated and dynamic young scientist who wishes to contribute advance the design next-generation materials for the clean energy transition.

The CO2 Mitigation Accelerated by Photons group led by Prof. Dr. Pelayo García de Arquer is searching for exceptional researchers, with an excellent proven track record, to work develop new hybrid materials for a wide range of energy applications, including:

• New strategies for CO2 capture and conversion
  
• Gas separation
  
• Membranes for emerging electrochemical devices
  
• Energy storage and conversion (chemical-, electrical-, and photon-based devices)
  

The successful candidate will lead on the design, synthesis, characterization, and implementation of these materials for some of these applications, as well as contribute to other projects in the group.

The postdoctoral candidate will have the opportunity to work in an ERC-funded vibrant project at the intersection of spectroscopies, electrochemistry, materials science, and chemical engineering, as well as utilize state-of-the-art fabrication and characterization facilities.
