The Luxembourg Institute of Science and Technology (LIST) is a Research and Technology Organization (RTO) active in the fields of materials, environment and IT. By transforming scientific knowledge into technologies, smart data and tools, LIST empowers citizens in their choices, public authorities in their decisions and businesses in their strategies.

Do you want to know more about LIST? Check our website: https://www.list.lu/

Discover our Materials department: https://www.list.lu/en/materials/

You will be part of the Scientific Instrumentation and Process Technology (SIPT) unit which is focusing its RDI activities on new instrumentation, processes and methodologies in the fields of thin film processing and nano-analytics. The RDI chain of the SIPT unit spans from fundamental science all the way up to industrial scale demonstrators. Particularly, the researcher will be integrated into the Plasma Process Engineering (PPE) group. The PPE group develops fundamental and technological expertise in the area of vapor deposition processes for advanced coatings and surfaces. The group focuses on its recognized expertise in Research and Development of both Chemical Vapor Deposition (CVD) and Physical Vapor Deposition (PVD) processes for surface modification and the synthesis of functional polymer thin films and functional inorganic coatings.

How will you contribute?

In the framework of national and international projects of the PPE group, you will be in charge of research activities in the field of advanced vapor deposition processes development and thin film catalysts synthesis by CVD and PVD. The main mission of the R&T Associate is to conduct research, development and innovation in the aforementioned field. You will define and participate in the definition of RDI projects and be the PI of some of these RDI projects and you will intervene in the framework of projects of the PPE group and report to the group leader.
