How will you contribute?

Get in touch with us and become our new colleague as Postdoctoral Researcher in Plasma Deposition of Functional Materials on Textiles. This role is part of a large European consortium project focused on the development of novel functional textiles using plasma deposition techniques. The project brings together leading universities, research institutions, and industrial partners across Europe.


Your mission and contribution are to:
  • Conduct research on plasma deposition of functional materials on textiles;
  • Develop and optimize plasma deposition processes for tailoring material properties for specific textile functionalities;
  • Characterize the deposited materials using various analytical techniques (e.g., XPS, SEM, etc.);
  • Evaluate the performance of the functionalized textiles and assess their suitability for targeted applications;
  • Collaborate with consortium partners from universities, research centres, and industry;
  • Contribute to the preparation of scientific reports, publications, and presentations;
  • Participate in project meetings and dissemination activities.

You hold a PhD in Material Science, Physics, Chemistry, or a related field. You have experience in plasma deposition techniques (e.g., atmospheric pressure PECVD) and expertise in material characterization techniques (e.g., XPS, SEM, etc.). You have developed a strong background in textiles and understanding of textile functionalization methods.

You have excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills and fluency in English (written and spoken). You can demonstrate previous ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced research environment. You are committed to a strong data security and confidentiality, with experience in handling sensitive information according to consortium agreements. You have ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced international consortium environment.
