The University of Luxembourg is an international research university with a distinctly multilingual and interdisciplinary character. The Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C2DH) is a research centre for the study, analysis and public dissemination of contemporary history of Luxembourg and Europe with a particular focus on digital methods and tools for doing innovative historical research. It serves as a catalyst for innovative and creative scholarship and new forms of public dissemination and societal engagement with history.

Europe Direct at the University of Luxembourg (ED-UNILU) is a competitive project co-funded by the European Commission (2021-2025) (Ref.ED-COMM/LUX/ED/003/BELVAL/2021-2025).

ED-UNILU organises academic and public activities – lectures, seminars, discussions and exhibitions –, and offers a wide range of information about the history of European integration, the EU institutions and the workings and policies of a united Europe. Europe Direct University of Luxembourg maximises the potential of its location at the heart of the Greater Region, in one of the EU’s permanent capitals. It makes a major contribution to citizen education, especially among young people, raising awareness about the European Union’s policies and helping develop teaching and research on European integration in Luxembourg. Located in the Luxembourg Learning Centre (LLC) on Belval Campus, Europe Direct University of Luxembourg is coordinated by the Luxembourg Centre for Contemporary and Digital History (C2 DH) – the University’s third interdisciplinary research centre, which focuses on high-quality research, analysis and public dissemination in the field of contemporary Luxembourgish and European history.
