The Division of Sustainable Energy and Environmental Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka University, conducts research and human resource development to foresee and solve problems related to the environment, energy, and resources mainly from the three viewpoints (1) the earth and the environment, (2) energy and resources, and (3) human and society and people. The environmental assessment field, for which we are recruiting the professor, is responsible for research and education that aims to develop effective and profound environmental technologies to preserve, restore, and create the sustainable environment through the assessment of the impact of human activities on our living environment and natural ecosystems.

[Work content and job description]
The laboratory of Engineering for Assessing the Sustainable Environment, Division of Sustainable Energy and Environmental Engineering, Graduate School of Engineering, Osaka University is conducting researches on environmental assessment in various scales from meso to regional, urban and city-blocks focusing on the elucidation of the effects of human activities on the air, water and energy-flow/cycles as well as the environmental dynamics of pollutants released from the human activities using methodologies of monitoring and modeling. The laboratory is also developing innovative human resources in these fields through undergraduate and graduate education. The laboratory is seeking an academic staff member who has a flexible attitude and can contribute to developing and harnessing the strength of the laboratory’s research. The successful applicant will be responsible for not only conducting research but also teaching liberal arts, and other subjects at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
