* Background of the recruitment and description of the project
The Institute of Laser Engineering of Osaka University explores cutting-edge research fields through the development of laser technology, creating new academic and innovative technologies as sources of innovation. ILE consists of the following four research divisions.
-“Photon Beam Science Research Division" is based on key technologies such as optical materials engineering, semiconductor laser systems, terahertz photonics, power photonics, and unique plasma photonics
-“High Energy Density Science Research Division”, which aims to develop new academic fields on high energy density plasma such as laser astrophysics
-“Laser Fusion Science Research Division”, is an academic fusion that is expected to be widely deployed with the ultimate goal of producing fusion energy as the ultimate energy source.
-“Theory and Computational Science Research Division”, which is the cornerstone of interdisciplinary collaboration based on plasma physics such as physical informatics.
We invite application for academic staff members at the Quadruple Matrix Center (QMC), which will develop cutting-edge interdisciplinary fields by collaborating with different fields and fields based on the research content of the above divisions.
This recruitment is for a tenure-track faculty position, and the term of office is 5 years. As a general rule, a review will be conducted no later than six months before the end of the term, and if the applicant is deemed to be excellent, he or she will be transferred to a tenured post. We will provide research funds up to 3 million yen as startup research funds.

If the applicant passes the evaluation, in principle at least 6 months before the end of the new term of employment, the applicant becomes an employee with no fixed term of employment.
