Offer Description

The aim of the research is to investigate and experiment with methods of accessing cultural heritage, specifically graffiti, for individuals who are visually impaired. The tools used will be 3D modeling and 3D printing for the realization of tactile models with respect to which will be used audio descriptions activated in relation to the spatial position of the user. For this purpose, it is essential to know the position using the different possible techniques of indoor positioning. The innovative approach adopted combines 3D technology with positioning strategies, allowing an accessible and engaging enjoyment of cultural heritage. This research is a significant contribution to social inclusion and the enhancement of culture by individuals who by the nature of the objects could not have access and knowledge to it.

Skills/Qualifications

The interview aims to assess the candidates’ skills and expertise on the following subjects:

  • Experience in three-dimensional modeling and 3D printing.
  • Ability to design, develop, and implement on the Arduino platform (or similar) for interfacing and communication with beacons.
  • Familiarity with indoor positioning techniques.
  • Knowledge of relational databases.
  • Knowledge of English language.

The research fellowship amounts to 19,387 Euros, including taxes and social charges

The selection is made through evaluation of candidates' scientific and professional qualifications, curriculum vitae, scientific production, followed by an interview


Selection process

The interview will be on 15th April 2024, h. 3:00 p.m. The interview will be held in remote with Google Meet.
The short-list of the candidates admitted to the interview, or any postponement, will be published on the University’s webpage on 8th April 2024
