ICAR/18 “Storia dell’architettura” – codice PO.DARCOD.18c1.24.04

Specific activities required by the called professor: 

Didactic commitment: Didactic engagement: the required didactic activity concerns the topics peculiar of the scientific disciplinary sector ICAR/18, activated in the Master's Degree Course in Architecture, in the PhD programme and in the Post-graduate School of Architectural and Landscape Heritage. In detail, a commitment is required in the teaching of History of Architecture, with particular regard to the Greco-Roman world, and of History of ancient building techniques for the Master's Degree Course in Architecture and for the Post-graduate School. This commitment is aimed at enabling students to acquire the methodological tools necessary for reading the architectural organisms in their spatial articulation and in their historical-geographical context, together with the understanding of the close interrelationship between changes in architectural space and development of building techniques.

Scientific commitment: with regard to the general scientific interests and the ongoing research activity at the Department, the candidate should demonstrate, through titles and publications, a consolidated experience in reading and interpretation of the architectural organism with particular attention to the problems represented by structures in the state of ruins. Furthermore, the candidate must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of the evolution of architecture and urban organisms in the ancient Mediterranean world. The candidate will also have to prove scientific activity also through participation in expeditions and/or the direction of research programmes carried out abroad in the context of international cooperation agreements and the dissemination of research results through participation in international conferences. Participation in and/or direction of funded research programmes will also be assessed in this respect. Lastly, the candidate must also attest affiliation to scientific societies and the membership to editorial boards of scientific and A class journals, the membership to scientific committees of journals or publishing series and the organisation of exhibitions and national and international conferences and seminars.
