Offer Description
The general objectives of the research are closely related to the specific scientific disciplinary contents of the ICAR/02 with specific reference to the use of observations derived from the latest satellite technologies to foster innovative hydrological applications aimed at advancing knowledge of natural processes related to the water cycle and the study of the interaction with anthropogenic activities.Specific goals include the development of techniques and models for monitoring human activities, primarily irrigation and for assessing their impact on the hydrological cycle in relation to rational water resource management, exploring the possibility of developing operational approaches, integrating satellite data with digital twins, and, more generally, in demonstrating the added value brought by the latest products obtained by remote sensing in hydrological applications aimed at studying the interaction between humans and the water cycle at different spatial scales
