Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Post-doctoral Research Fellow Level 1 or Level 2 within UCD School of Medicine/Systems Biology Ireland.
University College Dublin (UCD) is seeking applications for a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to work on the interaction between immune and cancer cells across different tumour models using modern cell and molecular biology methods.
The funded proposal, MULTIR will compile data from melanoma, lung and bladder cancer (most drugs target specific molecular features, irrespective of the tumor origin) to identify with high power the critical elements in the tumorhost interaction responsible for therapy response. This project is teamwork combining cell biology, molecular biology and mathematical modelling. The experimental part includes the validation of causative events in cell lines and organoid models.
The successful applicant will perform the cell biology and molecular biology experiments in the team and acquire omics data. To be successful in the role, the Fellow will have sound expertise in all aspects of cell and molecular biology. Experience in immunology or immunoncology and omics data acquisition is an advantage. An understanding of cancer signalling is also required. The Fellow should be self-motivated and comfortable working with collaborators from different disciplines. This post will be part of a team and perform the cell and molecular biology analysis of the project
Post Doc Level 1 Salary Range: €42,783 - €49,177
Post Doc Level 2 Salary Range: €50,540 - €54,965
Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
