Offer Description
The postdoctoral researcher will be a member of a wider interdisciplinary team with expertise spanning spatial planning, environmental risk communication, hydrogeology and environmental epidemiology. The successful candidate will be expected to develop holistic approaches using complementary methodologies to address the diverse challenges associated with septic tank remediation. Specifically, they will be expected to play a key role in the development and administration of a national household survey, as well carrying out expert qualitative interviews with planning professionals and inspectors in local authorities throughout Ireland. A key part of the project also involves the development of a modular, transferable public communication framework.
This is a research focused role, where you will conduct a specified programme of research supported by research training and development under the supervision and direction of a Principal Investigator.
The primary purpose of the role is to further develop your research skills and competences, including the processes of publication in peer-reviewed academic publications, the development of funding proposals, the mentorship of graduate students along with the opportunity to develop your skills in research led teaching.
Post Doc Level 1 Salary Scale: €42,783 per annum.
Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
