UCC wishes to appoint to the role of Head of Rugby in the Department of Sport and Physical Activity reporting to Head of Sport and Physical Activity and working directly with UCC Rugby Club & Chairman of Rugby (UCC Rugby).  The Head of Rugby will have proven ability in leading rugby performance and development programmes, managing players, coaches and other support personnel and coaching performance level teams. The Head of Rugby will be responsible for the UCC Rugby Men’s 1st and U20 teams; line management of all other team (male and female) coaches and team support personnel; coaching, designing player development programmes on an off pitch; managing and overseeing rugby training, conditioning and support services; establishing the culture and team values of the UCC Rugby programme for all team programmes.

Appointment may be made on the Admin II (Grade 6A) Salary Scale:  €67,046 – €84,927 (Scale B) / €63,795- €80,683 (Scale A) [TE1]  

Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
