Post Summary - Area Executive Craftsperson x 2 positions

Premises Services are part of the Facilities and Services section of Estates and Facilities. Premises Services deliver a range of front-line services across the entire estate. The Area Executive Craftperson (AEC) is an  integral part the Premises team delivering a range of E&F services to the University Community. The University’s grounds are geographically scattered, currently comprising of the island campus site in the city centre and various peripheral sites including the playing fields and book repository in Santry, the Trinity Centre at St James Hospital, The Boat Club Island bridge, The Enterprise Centre Pearse St, Trinity Hall student residence and the Botanic Gardens at Dartry etc. The successful candidate will be required to work at any or all of the University’s sites.


Two vacancies now exists, one Permanent and one post Specific Purpose Contract for the position of AEC.  The successful candidates will be required to take responsibility for the primary maintenance for a number of buildings within a Premises area across the Universities Estate. They will be given the opportunity to undergo training and to acquire specialised knowledge essential to the successful discharge of the wide range of duties associated with this post.

Post status: 1 permanent and 1 Specific Purpose Contract 

Hours of Post: 39 hours per week

Salary: This appointment will be made on the Fortnightly Area Executive Craftsperson 1 pay scale (€ 1,749.09 - € 2,110.71per fortnight) at a point in line with current Government pay policy.
