Trilateral Research have a fantastic opportunity for a Senior Research Analyst to join our Cybersecurity Research team.

 

This position will coordinate the delivery of the EU-funded project TITAN , that develops solutions for confidential data sharing for the European Open Science Cloud. The successful candidate will contribute to the growth and development of the Cybersecurity Research cluster, develop thought leadership, create impact and advance business development.

What are your responsibilities?

Project Delivery:

  • Lead, coordinate and execute high quality project work in the EU-funded project TITAN, e.g., research, reports and deliver outputs in line with deadlines and in direct communication with partners, team members, funders and external stakeholders.
  • Effective project management, including identifying and resolving project-related issues and risks in liaison with project team and clients.
  • Represent Trilateral at project meetings and external events.
  • Act as the project’s ethics advisor.

 

Business Development:

  • Independently lead and/or contribute to successful and high-quality funding applications.
  • Grow and share knowledge of funding schemes and application processes.

 

Strategy Delivery:

  • Maintain and grow thought leadership, through publication, funding and interdisciplinary outputs, subject matter expertise and research-driven innovation for Trilateral.
  • Support the delivery of Trilateral's commercial research requests.

 

Team Development:

  • Coordinate the work of Trilateral project team members and buddy/mentor team members.

 

Research Impact:

  • Deliver impact requirements & represent the research project(s) externally in line with Trilateral, cybersecurity research cluster and project goals.

  • Knowledge and experience in developing research proposals, funding relationships and/or tenders.
  • Experience managing and/or working in multi-partner projects and working as part of inter-disciplinary teams.
  • Proven experience in client management.

 

Desirable:

  • Experience in and/or familiarity with EU-funded projects.
  • Risk management skills.
  • Good understanding of information technology or cybersecurity in the context of data protection, e.g. cryptography and encryption.

 

Required education and experience:

Essential:

  • PhD or post-doctoral experience in one/more of fields listed: data protection, law, human rights, policy analysis, technology, ethics.
  • Experience in coordinating or leading work in one or more research projects.
  • Proven track record building relationships with internal and external clients.

 

Desirable:

  • Active leadership in tasks and/or coordination of EU-funded projects.
  • Team leadership or management experience.
  • Education or research experience in ethics of technology, cybersecurity or research ethics.

Location: Open to candidates located in and have the right to work in the Republic of Ireland.

Contract type: Permanent Employment Contract.
