Position Summary

Applications are invited for a Senior Post-Doctoral position at the Insight Centre for Data Analytics in the School of Computer Science and Information Technology, to work on a collaborative project with an industry partner, and on Insight Platform Research. In addition, the researcher may contribute to various other collaborative research projects as they arise with Industry Partners and/or EU Consortium Partners. The nature and structure of the phase 2 SFI Research Centre programme allows for Post-Doctoral researchers to work and gain valuable experience in a varied & research rich environment where you may gain experience working with SME’s, MNC’s, H2020 projects as well as basic platform research within the Insight Centre for Data Analytics programme. The specific collaborative project with industry is to continue a line of research developing machine learning and data analytics techniques to model the dynamic response of specific technical equipment as operated by a human operator. The Insight SFI Research Centre for Data Analytics (http://www.Insight-centre.org) is an SFI funded Research Centre that brings together researchers from University College Dublin, NUI Galway, University College Cork, and Dublin City University, as well as other partner institutions, Trinity College Dublin (TCD), University of Limerick (UL), Maynooth University (MU) and Tyndall National Institute. In UCC, the Insight Centre for Data Analytics sits in the School of Computer Science and Information Technology.

Project Title: Insight - Human-Machine Performance Modelling

Post Duration: 19 Months

Salary: €51,677 - €56,203 (IUA PD2 Salary Scale)
