Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Clinical Research Support Officer to manage a study on arthritis and immune checkpoint inhibitor (ICI)-related adverse events. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating and overseeing SFI funded research project, which focuses on the modulation of the intestinal microbiome in non-responders to targeted immune therapies for immune-mediated diseases such as Inflammatory Bowel Diseases, Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA), Psoriatic Arthritis (PsA) and Checkpoint inhibitor-induced colitis. The position will be based in Cork University Hospital and will require close collaboration with the Gastroenterologists, Rheumatologists and oncologists involved in cancer.

This is a unique opportunity to be involved in cutting-edge clinical and translational research in the field of immune-mediated diseases, an important health challenge, and to make a meaningful contribution to the development of future expertise in Ireland. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with renowned experts in the field, and to contribute to the advancement of knowledge and treatment options for patients with chronic inflammatory conditions.

UCC is an accredited research organisation and as such can form hosting agreements with third country nationals (and non-EEA nationals) for the purpose of conducting research in the University.

Post Duration: 2 years

Salary: €55,000 p.a. (Personal Rate)
