Position Summary
The RESEARCH SUPPORT OFFICER - ADMINISTRATION (Financial) is a key member of APC’s Finance team reporting directly to the Finance Manager. The role requires the successful candidate to liaise with all key stakeholders to ensure effective and prompt financial administration. The post-holder will provide support to Principal Investigators and Funded Investigators in areas from budgeting for research proposals to monitoring research spend and related financial matters.
The RESEARCH SUPPORT OFFICER – ADMINISTRATION (Financial) will assist the Finance Manager in duties pertaining to all aspects of APC’s financial duties particular in tasks related to research project set-up, expense claims and funding body financial reports. In addition, the post holder will engage as necessary, with all relevant Principal Investigators (PIs) and Project Managers to monitor spending and control of research funding. The successful candidate will be working in a very demanding and dynamic environment with a diverse range of researchers, support personnel and managers and will require excellent financial and administration skills. Candidates should have the ability to work on their own initiative and to manage and prioritize a varied workload, as well as being able to work as part of a team. They should possess excellent verbal & written communication and presentation skills with the ability to interact effectively with all stakeholders. The post will demand that the holder will be able to work to a very high level of accuracy and attention to detail.

Salary: €50,000 p.a., pro rata 0.6 FTE
