Research Assistant, UCD

Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Research Assistant within UCD School of Public Health, Physiotherapy & Sports Science.

The role represents an exciting opportunity to work on the HRB-funded Irish Comparative Outcomes Study of Cystic Fibrosis (ICOS) Part II - a follow-up of two existing cohorts of children with CF (CwCF) diagnosed through screening and clinical presentation to compare clinical outcomes and recruit further screen detected CwCF to allow comparative results to age 8-11 years, with results providing further timely, early feedback on policy and management. The research team includes Consultants in all 6 specialist centres treating children with CF. The research will utilise both data collected by the National Cystic Fibrosis Registry of Ireland and complementary additional clinical data required. The research programme also includes assessment of parental carer burden. The RA will be engaged in all parts of the research programme and will support the writing of study reports, conference abstracts and academic papers. Some travel may be necessary.

Research Assistant Salary Range: €28,701 - €29,906 per annum

Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
