Position Summary

The eHealth-Hub for digital health research in cancer is an All-Island collaboration between the University of Limerick Digital Cancer Research Centre (LDCRC), and Patrick G Johnston Centre for Cancer Research at Queen's University Belfast, which was recently established with a 4-million-euro award from the Higher Education Authority Shared Island programme. The eHealth-Hub for Cancer partners with seven universities, eight hospitals, industry, and international partners. Multidisciplinary teams of bioinformatics, biostatisticians, epidemiologists, software developers, clinicians and cancer doctors are developing new innovative algorithms and software to advance cancer digital health and real-world evidence research.

The purpose of a research assistant (RA) is to support and contribute to the research efforts of a principal investigator and the research team. RAs will play a crucial role in the research process by assisting with various tasks and responsibilities involved in conducting research studies. In particular, assisting in conducting a data landscape of the different partnered hospitals.

The overall purpose of a research assistant is to provide support and contribute to the research project's success by assisting with various tasks, thus facilitating the smooth execution and advancement of the research endeavour

Post Duration: 1 year 8 months

Salary: €30,025 - €39,908 p.a. (IUA Research Assistant Salary Scale)
