Applications are invited for a temporary part-time post of a Research Assistant within UCD School of Civil Engineering

Reference no - 016882

This is a 3-month part-time Research Assistant (RA) post on the "Monitoring the Bi Urban Raingarden Project". One hundred (100) raised raingardens - also known as rainwater planters - are being installed in household gardens in Stoneybatter, in Dublin's north inner city, by a social enterprise, Bi Urban in collaboration with the Local Authority Waters Programme (LAWPRO). Five (5) of these will be monitored by UCD's School of Civil Engineering. This is a part-time, project-based role which involves working directly with stakeholders and communities on the ground, and analysing data collected from site sensors. The position will involve meetings at both the UCD campus in Belfield (D4) and site visits to Stoneybatter (D7). Both are accessible by public transport and therefore a driving licence is not essential. The Research Assistant post will ideally be in place during February, March and April 2024.

Research Assistant Salary range: €30,052- €32,105 pro-rata(0.4 FTE).

Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.

Applications must be submitted by the closing date and time specified. Any applications which are still in progress at the closing time of 17:00hrs (Local Irish Time) on the specified closing date will be cancelled automatically by the system. UCD are unable to accept late applications.
