Position summary

Two Research Assistants are sought to work on a project supported by the SFI-HRB-Wellcome Trust agreement on a contract starting in October 2022. The Research Assistants will be responsible for carrying out laboratory experiments with the purpose of investigation of how different ribosome stalling signals affect expression of reporters in human cell cultures. 

The successful candidate are expected to have B.Sc or M.Sc degree in Biochemistry, Molecular/Cell Biology or related disciplines and have hands-on experience in basic techniques, such as PCR, DNA/RNA isolation, gel electrophoresis, etc. An opportunity to continue research towards PhD may exist for suitable candidates. 

Post Duration: 12 months

Salary: €27,380 - €36,786 p.a. (IUA Salary Scale)
