Applications are invited for the post of Professor in Health and Ageing at J.E. Cairnes School of Business and Economics, University of Galway, Ireland.

The School has an excellent international research reputation and distinctiveness in the following areas:
Environment and Marine Health and Ageing Digital Responsibility The School is currently recruiting a Professor in Health and Ageing to substantially grow research activity, outputs, and impact in the School’s research distinctiveness area of Health and Ageing.
To achieve the School’s research ambition, the Professor in Health and Ageing position is supported by an attractive starter research funding package worth over €360,000.
Applications are welcome from candidates who can demonstrate alignment of their research and teaching interests in the area of Health and Ageing with any of the five disciplines in the School: Accountancy and Finance, Business Information Systems, Economics, Management, or Marketing. Applications from candidates with an excellent research record in any of the following, and related, areas are welcome:
Health Policy; Ageing Policy; Health Economics; Health Technology Assessment; Social and Critical Gerontology; Ageing Inequalities and the Life Course; Work and Retirement Medical Device Technology (MedTech) and/or Pharmaceutical Industry; Health, Community, and/or Social Care System Delivery and Management; Age-Friendly Environments Digital and/or Connected Information Systems for Health; Social Marketing for Health; Ageing and Finance; Governance, Accountability and Measurement in Health and Ageing
Salary:
€97,260 to €130,000 p.a. (applicable to new entrants effective from January, 2011)
(This appointment will be made on the Professor In salary scale in line with current Government pay policy)
