Specific Purpose Whole Time Post 

(anticipated duration 9 months) 

The School of Clinical Therapies is looking to employ an experienced, enthusiastic Practice Tutor in Physiotherapy. The MSc Physiotherapy extends over 24 months and includes a minimum of 1000 hours of practice education in collaboration with Health Service Providers. 

Duties of the Practice Tutor include supporting students and practice educators during practice placement experience, as well as associated administrative duties. The person appointed will work closely with the Practice Education Coordinator. 

This specific purpose full-time post will require the post-holder to be flexible and tutor where students are on placement. The post is based in UCC; however, some travel to placement sites will be necessary. 

Applicants should be CORU-registered Physiotherapists, have at least 3 years’ clinical experience and have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. They should also have experience in teaching / tutoring or clinical supervision of Physiotherapy students.

Appointment may be made on the HSE Senior Physiotherapist Salary Scale: €59,478- €70,003  

Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
