Position Summary

The INFANT Research Centre was established in 2013 and is dedicated to maternal and child health research. The overarching vision of INFANT is to advance maternal and child health translational research and to place Ireland to the forefront of this field. INFANT is hosted by University College Cork (UCC) and is focused on delivering scientific excellence and impact through a range of activities in academic, translational, and commercial areas. The INFANT team is a diverse group of clinicians and scientists who are supported by selected industry partners, international collaborators and business and regulatory advisors. The Centre is funded by a range of national and international funding agencies, EU, industry, and philanthropy. INFANT has a well-established Clinical Trials Platform which is underpinned by ISO 9001:2015 accredited Quality Management System.

INFANT is an integral part of a new programme of excellence to revolutionise the delivery of cerebral palsy care in Ireland.

INFANT is now accepting applications for a Postdoctoral Researcher to join the team and help advance research in early brain injury and cerebral palsy. The Postdoctoral Researcher will focus on developing new diagnostic and predictive biomarkers for early detection of brain injury in newborns and high risk children.

Project Title: Cerebral Palsy Foundation Funding

Post Duration: 2 years

Salary:   €43,908 - €50,302 (IUA PD1 Salary Scale)
