Offer Description

This project will focus on all sectors of civil society, with equal inclusion of all participants regardless of cultural, social or economic backgrounds with a view to:

  • Identifying specific challenges across different sectors of society and across locations.
  • Developing, testing and evaluating the Citizen Science component to enhance participant’s knowledge on specific issues related to water contamination.

The successful candidate will lead in developing and rolling out the Citizen Science component of AMEND, including the associated participatory and co-design processes. In addition, they will:

  • Lead and implement a number of AMEND project research tasks.
  • Lead the establishment, coordination and management of the project’s Citizen Science component.
  • Organise the procedures for internal communication within the consortium related to the assigned research tasks and the collection of reports and deliverables.

The successful candidate will also be expected to contribute to and prepare high impact publications.

Responsibilities:

The Post-doctoral researcher will be a highly motivated PhD graduate in the area of environmental sciences/engineering, geography, social science, behaviour change, socioeconomics, or other relevant discipline.

Essential Criteria:

  • A proven interest in interactions with citizens in science and/or design.
  • The ability to participate in a transdisciplinary team.
  • Communication, networking, and collaboration skills, as demonstrated by other activities.

A full clean driver licence is an advantage.

Desirable Criteria:

Experience of stakeholder engagement and analysis.
