The Maynooth University Placement Office seeks two Placement Coordinators within the Student Skills and Success division of the Office of the Dean of Teaching and Learning. The successful candidate(s) will report to the Placement Officer, working closely with the Placement team to coordinate Placement Offerings in MU.

The team requires a strong communicator who can forge and develop sustainable relationships, as well as an individual who has the ability to manage and prioritise a complex workload. To be successful in this role, you will be a good team player and have a working understanding of the graduate labour market with a proven record of innovation in a customer-focused environment. Previous experience and/or knowledge of the Higher Education sector and working with students is desirable but not essential.

Purpose

This placement coordinator role will:

  • work with undergraduate/postgraduate students, staff, and employers to support, coordinate and grow the accredited placement programme, ensuring service excellence in all aspects of delivery.
  • balance a complex workload of diverse activities on a day-to-day basis which could include sourcing placements, pastoral support to students, reviewing and assessing placement risks, creating engaging promotional content or presenting workshops  relating to placements.
  • be a spokesperson for the opportunities that placement can offer, promoting its value and impact amongst students and employers alike.

Salary

Senior Executive Assistant (2022):        €41,591 – €51,081 p.a. (pro-rata) (7 points)

Appointments will be made in accordance with public sector pay provisions.
