Applications are invited for a temporary post of a Library System Project Officer (x2) within UCD Library.
The mission of UCD Library is to be a leader in enriching the student experience, to empower global engagement, and to act as an intellectual centre for the UCD community.
UCD Library consists of five libraries, UCD Archives and the National Folklore Collection. UCD Library provides library and information services to UCD staff and students. UCD Archives, Special Collections and the National Folklore Collection at UCD house collections of national importance for use by the UCD community and external researchers.
We offer an exciting opportunity for motivated individuals to fill two Project Officer positions. Those appointed will be responsible for supporting the project management for a discovery project initiated by the Library and funded by the Office of the Registrar. The 12-month project has been approved under the UCD Programme for Operations and Services Transformation (POST) for 2023/2024 [see the website www.ucd.ie/ucdpost ].
The aim of the discovery project is to develop the business case and quantify costs for a replacement Library Management System (including Reading List Management System) and for an Archives Management System. One of the Project Officers appointed will be responsible for the Library Management System (including Reading List Management System) aspects and the other will be responsible for the Archives Management System aspects.
95 Assistant Librarian 1_2010 Salary Scale €55,350 - €66,532 per annum
Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines
