University College Cork wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Nutrition Science in the School of Food and Nutritional Sciences. Evidenced by an impressive research and publication track record, the post-holder will have proven expertise in nutrition science. Fields including nutritional biochemistry and metabolism, nutritional epidemiology and public health nutrition, life-course nutrition and health, nutrition surveillance, global food and nutrition security and data analytics and dietary modeling are all relevant to this post. UCC is unique in its ability to comprehensively address all aspects of the food system – from primary food production through to food processing, nutrition and health. The hugely diverse expertise from across these areas and the positioning of Cork at the heart of Ireland’s agri-food sector provides a unique and excellent research ecosystem.

The post holder will have the opportunity to strengthen existing capacity within UCC’s food systems research focus and benefit from a wide collaborative network.

Appointment may be made on the Lecturer Salary Scale: €72,602 - €94,024 (Scale B, Above the Bar) / €37,912 - €66,429 (Scale B, Below the Bar)

Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy***.***
