Applications are invited for a permanent post of a Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Educational Psychology within UCD School of Education

The School of Education at University College Dublin seeks to appoint a full-time Lecturer/Assistant Professor in Educational Psychology commencing June 2024. The appointee will be required to engage in teaching, research, professional placement supervision and coordination, research supervision and programme administration on the Professional Doctorate in Educational Psychology and other postgraduate programmes within the School of Education in the broader area of inclusive education.

The School is committed to research-led education, so the candidate will be expected to teach doctoral level research methods, conduct research that supports high quality teaching in their field, and to lead innovations in both research and teaching. S/he will supervise student research at Master’s and Doctoral level and assist Programme Directors in administration and organisation of the Educational Psychology/Inclusive Education programmes. The appointee will also be expected to work collaboratively with other colleagues in the design and delivery of existing and new modules, in the ongoing development and evaluation of existing programmes and in the design of new programmes. The appointee will also be expected to undertake professional placement and engage in accreditation processes as appropriate. Overall, the appointee will be expected to participate actively in the academic life of the School and make a commensurate contribution to School administration.

95 Lecturer/Asst Professor Above The Bar (7943) Salary scale: €60,261 - €95,425 per annum

Appointment will be made on scale and in accordance with the Department of Finance guidelines.
