The Advanced RF Technologies (ART) Group at Tyndall National Institute (TNI) and University College Cork is advertising for the position of the Post-doctoral Researcher/Scientist in Emerging RF Technologies. Our team aims to recruit a well-qualified and highly-motivated researcher with strong background in electromagnetics, RF/mm-Wave design of passive and active RF front-end components and digital additive manufacturing. The post holder will be the lead researcher of interdisciplinary research projects aim to develop highly-integrated and performance-enhanced RF front-ends for 6G communications and IoT devices. Specifically, the successful candidate will be engaged in research aiming to develop: i) digital manufacturing techniques for high-frequency RF components and antenna sub-systems and ii) reconfigurable GaN/GaAs-based active RF components (e.g, LNAs and PAs). Furthermore, the postholder is expected to be involved in project management, proposals development and co-supervision of MS and PhD students.

The candidate will be given an initial 18 months contract with scope for long term extension subject to performance and availability of funds.

The successful candidate will become a member of a diverse and vibrant community of academics, research professionals and students at TNI and UCC and will have access to world-class RF characterization and manufacturing facilities at TNI, UCC. Further information on our community and infrastructure can be found in the following websites: Advanced RF Technology Group: https://advancedrftechnologies.com/  University College Cork: https://www.ucc.ie/en/ , Tyndall National Institute: .
