Permanent Whole-time Post

UCC wishes to appoint to the role of Category Specialist. The successful candidate will be assigned up to three categories of spend and will be responsible for the procurement associated with all aspects of goods and services in those categories. They shall report directly to the Deputy Procurement Officer and will work collaboratively with the Procurement team across all projects/tasks assigned to deliver best in practice services to its customers.

The role will involve working in close collaboration with the government central purchasing body - the Office of Government Procurement (OGP) and its shared service partners including the Education Procurement Services (EPS), HSE, and HEAnet.

Please note that Garda vetting and/or an international police clearance check may form part of the selection process.

Appointment may be made on the Admin V (Grade 5) Salary Scale: €48,810- € 59,877 (Scale B) / € 46,618- €56,992 (Scale A)

Salary placement on appointment will be in accordance with public sector pay policy.
