Post Summary

The purpose of this post is to provide ongoing Business and Systems Analyst support within Work Package 3 (WP3) for Horizon 2 of the Postgraduate Renewal Programme (PGR).   To this end, the post holder will play a leading role in the programme.  They will have expert knowledge in Higher Education, process automation and workflow integration. To this end, they will provide for ongoing liaison and support of business users through problem solving, process automation and workflow planning.   They will also provide a business systems analysis service including requirements gathering, technical documentation, regression testing and post go live support.

This is a specific purpose role which will be dedicated to supporting the Postgraduate Renewal Programme.  The successful candidate will conduct core Business Systems Analyst duties which will complement ongoing work with the SITS student system while other project team members conduct SITS business systems analysis and configuration on the deliverables of the Postgraduate Renewal Programme. The duties and responsibilities are outlined in the context of Horizon 2 of the Postgraduate Renewal Programme and the successful candidate is expected to remain involved through Horizon 3 of the programme.

Post status: Specific Purpose Contract

You will be responsible for providing business and systems analyst support within ‘Work Package 3’ (WP3) for the ‘Horizon 1’ and ‘Horizon 2’ phases of the Postgraduate Renewal Programme. This role is not being offered on a permanent basis as the Programme represents a series of projects which will be time bound. It is expected that the specific aspects of the programme, on which you will work, will be completed within a finite period. Therefore, termination of this contract will occur upon completion of the work in which you are engaged in.

Hours of Post: 35 hours per week

Salary: This appointment will be made on the Administrative 1 (Points 1-3), Salary Scale (€65,367 - €84,560 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales. (tcd.ie)

1.       Candidates must have at least 5 years relevant post-qualification experience in a Higher Education organisation and technology environment. Applicants should clearly address this experience and how they obtained their knowledge in their application.

2.       A deep understanding of business process automation is required.    The applicant should provide three examples of how they have automated business processes.  In doing so they should describe the technical toolset that they used.   At least one example, should include business process automation through workflow integration.

3.       Illustrate, through past example, their ability to work on their own initiative and resolve problems.
