Post Summary:

The School of Computer Science and Statistics is seeking to appoint an Assistant Professor in Computer Science on a specific purpose contract, who will join the Discipline of Software and Systems. As such the appointee will be expected to innovate in both research and teaching, to assist in the administration and mission of the School and contribute to the wider research community. The appointee should have the potential to develop into a leader in their particular field of research with a world-class research programme. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to undergraduate and/or postgraduate teaching in the School, particularly in areas of Software and Systems.

Post status: Specific Purpose Contract

The specific purpose of this appointment is to cover an Assistant Professor vacancy on a temporary basis pending the return of the postholder from a career break and unpaid leave of absence. Employment is not offered on an indefinite duration basis as the original postholder is expected to return. If the postholder does not return to work the post will be filled through open competition.

Salary: This appointment will be made on the Assistant Professor Merged Salary Scale (€39,469 - €95,441 per annum) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales. (tcd.ie)
