Description of Post

The Faculty of Business has a varied portfolio of programmes across all the constituent academic departments, at undergraduate and postgraduate level and has a particular focus on Work Based Learning and Executive/Professional education. The Faculty offers a range of programmes including Certificates, Higher Diplomas, Degrees, Honours Degrees, Masters and Doctorates (PhD & DBA). 

The strategic priorities of the Faculty include growth in students numbers and new programme development (Fulltime, Lifelong Learning & International) and wider engagement around various strategic initiatives such as research, innovation, entrepreneurship and digital transformation.

The Faculty research and innovation centre called DICE (Design, Innovation, Creativity and Entrepreneurship) aims to create a space for multi-disciplinary and interdisciplinary activity between departments.

Appointment(s) may be on a permanent/fixed term/pro-rata/part-time basis as required at Assistant Lecturer level. A panel will be created for any vacancies that may arise in the future.

Please note: The postholder will be based at the ATU Donegal, Letterkenny Campus.

Essential Qualifications

Minimum

  • An HonoursDegree (2.2 or higher) in a relevant Level 8 degree[as specified in the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ)], or equivalent.
  • Three years relevant post-qualification experience.

Essential

Applicants should be able to teach in the following areas:

  • Operations Management
  • Supply Chain Management
  • Data Analytics
  • Project Management
  • Statistics
  • Decision Making Techniques

Desirable

  • Masters Degree in Business or equivalent
  • Teaching experience at 3rd level (including at Level 9)
  • Experience in programme development
  • Experience of technology enhanced teaching and learning
  • Research supervision experience at 3rd level (including at Level 9)
  • Research experience and publications
  • Doctoral level qualification
