Your Job:

  • Developing, coordinating and executing workflows related to user-access of JUNIQ’s quantum computing resources
  • Developing and conducting training programs in collaboration with our research team for both expert and non-expert audiences
  • Collaborating closely with quantum-computing-related research institutions of the Forschungszentrum Jülich on the management level
  • Writing of scientific reports
  • Coordinating the further development of JUNIQ
  • Developing and conducting outreach activities, such as workshops, visitor tours, trade fairs, social media strategies and information events
  • Maintaining and designing JUNIQ’s internet presence
  • Administrative management of research projects
  • Supporting the management in human resource management

Your Profile:

  • Master’s degree and/or PhD in natural science or mathematics or in a similar field
  • Interest and/or experience in quantum computer programming
  • Experience in the management of scientific projects
  • Experience in developing, organizing and conducting trainings, lectures and workshops
  • Experience in writing popular science texts and scientific reports
  • First experience in writing project proposals and communicating with funding entities
  • Good organization and communication skills
  • An independent and self-motivated working attitude
  • The capability of prioritizing tasks, also in stressful situations
  • Excellent command of written and spoken German and English

You will be initially employed for a fixed term of 2 years but with the prospect of longer-term employment. Salary and social security benefits will conform to the provisions of the Collective Agreement for the Public Service (TVöD-Bund), pay group 13, depending on your current qualifications and the precise nature of the tasks assigned to you.
