The Faculty of Chemistry at the Georg-August-Universität Göttingen welcomes applications for one

Research coworker (part-time postdoc) (f/m/d)

in the German Research Foundation (DFG)-funded Research Training Group 2455 “BENCh – Benchmark Experiments in Numerical quantum Chemistry”. The application window will be open up to 30.09.2021. The position is remunerated with 50% E 13 TV-L (corresponding to 19.9 hours per week) with a limited contract up to 30.06.2023. The earliest starting date will be 01.12.2021.

Your profile
- you hold a M.Sc. and a Ph.D. in chemistry,
- are interested in overseeing research activities in your field of expertise,
- are proficient in English.

The BENCh Research Training Group (BENCh RTG) consists of a high-level research programme aiming to provide landmark experiments for quantum chemical methods benchmarking. The topics will span from gas phase spectrometry, molecular beam techniques, synthesis to X-ray diffraction. The research coworker will be responsible for organisation and planning of blind challenges, establishing small benchmark collections and/or completion of the latter, management of databases and development of data sharing protocols within the RTG.
