OFFER DESCRIPTION

Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Research Assistant or Research Associated to join the laboratory of Assistant Professor Kaiwen Chen at the National University of Singapore (NUS). We are interested in understanding the fundamental biology of cell death and innate immune signalling during microbial infection. A particular focus of the lab is to understand the regulation of gasdermin pore-forming proteins in macrophages and neutrophils. The successful candidate will characterise novel regulators of neutrophil extracellular trap formation during bacterial infection.

Qualifications

  • BSC with Hons in Life Science or related discipline
  • Highly motivated and ability to work independently after training
  • Prior experience with myeloid cell biology and/or infection assays will be a plus
  • Willing to work with animals and bacterial infection models
