Offer Description
A postdoctoral researcher position is available in the Heat Transfer Laboratory, Department of Mechanical Engineering, Chosun University, Gwangju, Republic of Korea.
We are seeking a highly motivated experimental researcher to join a newly funded research project on artificial photosynthesis using microchannel reactors.
The main focus of this position is the experimental development of photocatalytic microreactor systems. The successful candidate will be expected to directly synthesize and characterize photocatalysts, fabricate or assemble microchannel reactors, and conduct photocatalytic experiments for artificial photosynthesis.

Preferred Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Energy Engineering, or a related field
- Strong hands-on experimental background in photocatalyst synthesis and photocatalytic experiments
- Experience with microchannel, microfluidic, flow-cell, or microreactor systems is strongly preferred
- Experience with PDMS-based microfluidic device fabrication or soft lithography is an advantage
- Experience in photocatalytic CO₂ reduction, water splitting, electrochemistry, or related catalytic reaction systems is desirable
- Experience with catalyst and reaction-product characterization techniques is preferred
This position is primarily experimental. Candidates with demonstrated experience in independently designing, building, and operating experimental systems are particularly encouraged to apply.

- Salary: Starting from 3 million Korean wons with additional incentives with high impact journal publications
