Offer Description

Duties and responsibilities

  • Carrying out research activities in the field on statistical genetics at the Institute of Genomics. Analysis and publication of research results.
  • Consulting other members of the research group on topics related to women's reproductive biology.
  • Participation in writing funding proposals and applying for funding.
  • Participation in teaching activities at the Insitute of Genomics.
  • Participation in organizing research-related events (conferences etc) led by the Insitute of Genomics.
  • Popularizing reproductive genetics.

Required qualifications
PhD or an equivalent qualification

Required experience

  • Experience with common methods in statistical genetics.
  • Experience on the field of genetics, informatics and epidemiology.
  • Previous experience with expression data analysis methods.
  • Previous research expertise in the genetics of women's health.
  • Experience of collaboration with other research groups, both in Estonia and internationally.
  • Published research papers in peer-reviewed journals on the field of statistical genetics.
  • Successful supervision of undergraduate and/or Master level students.

Required language skills
Very good command of English
