Reports to: Manager, Executive Education Marketing Communication

Purpose: The job holder is responsible for developing all aspects of The American University in Cairo’s (AUC) School of Business Executive Education communication material. The job holder main responsibility is to write clear, engaging, and concise copy for different media: brochures, flyers website, advertisements, email. He/she is also responsible for all written content pertaining to executive education including program content, stories, press-releases and announcements of achievements and activities. The candidate is also responsible for proofing and reviewing content and ensure all communication material is in line with school strategy as well as the University editorial and branding guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Brochures: write clear and attractive copy with a distinct voice for all program publicity material such as brochures, flyers
  • Website: conduct high-quality research, stay up to date with trends, conduct interviews with participants, alumni and instructors to develop engaging content pertaining of executive education on executive education website including landing pages, stories
  • Newsletter: design and develop content for executive education online newsletter aimed at alumni and potential participants
  • E-mail marketing: develop email marketing content for executive education programs, webinars, open days
  • Presentations: designing and updating executive education general presentations and program marketing kits.
  • Social media: work with social media agency to manage and maintain executive education media accounts, generate and edit content for use in social media channels and respond and engage with stakeholders on the different social media platforms as needed
  • Collaborate with program managers, designer and agency as needed to develop all content required for executive education including brochures, email campaigns, landing pages
  • Ensure that school of business, executive education and AUC general branding and editorial guidelines are applied on all publications
  • Performs any related task as assigned by manager

Requirements:

Minimum Education Requirement

  • Bachelor’s degree in journalism, mass communication, business or marketing

Experience

  • 3-5 years of related previous experience
  • Previous experience in content development is a plus

Skills

  • Excellent command of the English language
  • Strong oral and written communication skills are of the highest priority, writing sample relevant to the job is required with the application
  • Hands on experience with Microsoft Office (MS) and Word Press
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, particularly the ability to work with groups and organizations, both internal and external to the University
  • Positive attitude, strong work ethic, commitment to the highest standards of customer service and professionalism and ability to work independently and as a member of a dynamic cross-functional team
  • Able to handle a heavy work load and work under pressure
