Teaching assistant position in Financial Accounting

A teaching assistant position in Financial Accounting is available at the Department of Accounting for appointment on January 1st 2022.

The position is on a temporary part-time positions for a fixed term of three years with the possibility of two three-year extensions.

The Department of Accounting covers the fields of financial accounting, management accounting, auditing and corporate governance in the private as well as the public sector. Researchers at the department collaborate on specific research projects using a variety of quantitative as well as qualitative methods. Teaching responsibilities of the Department comprise undergraduate and graduate teaching in financial accounting, management accounting, auditing and corporate governance.

The department's research and teaching in external accounting relates to accounting theory, accounting analysis and valuation, accounting regulation, empirical studies of accounting policies and stock market-based accounting research.

Qualifications

The position normally requires a relevant master’s degree or equivalent. Teaching qualifications will be taken into consideration in the assessment.

Terms of employment

The appointment will be in accordance with the circular on hourly-paid teaching under the Ministry of Finance. The hours of work can vary according to needs in the individual semesters to a maximum of 780 hours per academic year. The new employee must be willing to take a pedagogical course arranged by CBS (only if the employee is not able to document participation in pedagogical courses or experience during the first year of employment) and participate in lecturer meetings.
