Section Secretary (HK) for the Section of Subatomic Physics at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen

The Niels Bohr Institute (NBI) announces an opening of the position Section Secretary at the Section of Subatomic Physics. We are looking for a highly motivated individual to take over the position.

About us
The Section of Subatomic Physics is one of 10 research sections at the Niels Bohr Institute. The section houses experimental research groups performing particle physics research at CERN in Geneva and at the South Pole. The research comprises physics 0nalysis, development and construction of instrumentation, and planning for future experimental facilities. The section consists of about 50 employees and students representing multiple nationalities.

The position
Assignments include assisting the Section Leader and the section grant holders with meeting planning, event planning, guest visits, and ad hoc tasks. General support to the scientific staff involves everything from travel arrangements, procurement, support for section budget management, planning, and support for Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD defences. 

You will be a part of the administration at NBI with colleagues in similar positions. 

Qualifications
We expect that you have administrative experience and preferably from a university or in an academic environment. You must be IT system savvy and have the ability to think out of the box when faced with challenges. 

You should thrive in a dynamic international environment and adapt well to a fast pace and to ever-changing conditions. It is important that you are a highly organized team player and have a positive approach to your tasks. You speak and write both English and Danish fluently.

Terms of employment
The position is covered by The Collective Agreement between the Danish Ministry of Finance and the Organisations of Public Employees – governmental institutions (the OAO-S collective agreement) and the Professional Agreement for clerical employees, laboratory technicians and it officers in the state. 

The position is part time, 30 hours per week. It is available from October 1 2021-31 December 2022. 

The salary grading is 3.1. It will be possible to negotiate additional supplements in accordance with qualifications.
