Job Description

The Division for Climate and Energy Policy at DTU Management offers one research assistant position for candidates with previous experience with register data from Statistics Denmark.
The candidate will collaborate with Professors Karyn Morrisey (DTU), Marcella Veronesi (DTU), Shinsuke Uchida (Nagoya City University), and Matthew Neidell (Columbia University) on research projects related to labor, health, education, energy, and environmental economics using register data from Statistics Denmark. 
Depending on the right candidate, the position could either be a part-time research position for 12 months (20 hours per week) or a full-time research position for 6 months. 
Responsibilities and qualifications
The candidate will initially work in obtaining, processing, harmonizing, and linking multiple register datasets from Statistics Denmark to create a research-ready data platform and user-friendly meta-data repository that provides a 360-degree overview of life in Denmark. Once the data platform has been completed, the candidate will assist with data management and data analysis. If the candidate is interested, research opportunities are available.
We seek a candidate with expertise in working with register data from Statistics Denmark and in the management of register data. 
Programming skills in Stata and proficient English language skills are also required. 
As a formal qualification, you must have a master’s degree in social science, economics, data management, engineering or equivalent.

Salary and terms of employment 
The appointment will be based on the collective agreement with the Danish Confederation of Professional Associations. The allowance will be agreed upon with the relevant union.
This is a part-time research position (20 hours per week) for 12 months or a full-time research position for 6 months. The preferred start date is 1 June 2024.
