Research Assistant in Reflectarrays and Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces(2024-224-05762)

Updated: about 2 months ago
Deadline: 06 Mar 2024

Reconfigurable Intelligent Surfaces(RIS) are programmable elements that manipulate electromagnetic waves, particularly beneficial in millimeter-wave(mmWave) communications. RIS optimizes signal propagation, exploiting multipath effects while enhancing energy efficiency and adapting dynamically to changing network conditions. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Research Assistant. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in the field of radio frequency(RF) and antenna design, with a focus on developing innovative methods for low-cost and efficient beam-steering reflectarrays and large reconfigurable intelligent surface(RIS) for millimeter-wave applications.

the perfect candidate will have these qualifications:

  • Hold a master's or Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering with a focus on RF and antenna design.
  • Experience in the design, simulation, and hardware implementation of reconfigurable intelligent surfaces and beam-steering reflectarrays at milimeterwave.
  • Experience in the simulation of electrically large electromagnetic models.
  • Prior experience in clean room protocols and liquid crystal antenna fabrication.
  • High proficiency in CST Design Studio software and Python automation for antenna design and optimization.
  • Demonstrated expertise in RF and antenna design, with a strong publication record including at least 2 journal papers in high-impact factor journals such as IEEE Transaction on Antenna and Propagation.
  • Prior experience in antenna measurement techniques in an anechoic chamber.
